- UN SDGs United Nations Sustainable Development Goals are a set of 17 global goals in different areas to achieve peace and prosperity for the people and the planet. Lightness is mostly concerned with the Goal # 7 “Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all”
- The Urban Agenda for the EU on Energy Transition: This EU policy framework heps understand how the Lightness Projects is a piece that fits into many other efforts from the EU
- Energy transition in cities EU official page with strategies and policies, urban data, funding opportunities and advice, networking, and some other project examples.
- Horizon 2020 Energy Efficiency EU data hub with an interactive tool and map with information about EU funded projects on Energy Efficiency. Lightness is only one of many others!
- Energy communities: An EU official publication providing an overview of energy communities and their relation to energy and social innovation. JRC Science for Policy Report
- REScoop.eu: European federation of citizen energy cooperatives. It is a growing network of 1.500 European energy cooperatives and their 1.000.000 citizens who are active in the energy transition.
- “Renewables in Cities: 2019 Global Status Report”: very interesting and reader-friendly report by REN21 on the important role cities have on the energy model transition. Section 6 is especially relevant for the Lightness Project, about “Citizen Participation” with great information about enabling consumer choice, emergence of ‘prosumers’, ‘renewable energy communities’ and more.
- Unleashing the Power This reader-friendly graphic booklet explains the EU’s new renewable energy policy and it shows how citizens can benefit from Community Renewable Energy. It was made by Energy Cities, Friends of the Earth Europe, Greenpeace and REScoop.
